FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is payment due?

Payments for residential jobs are due upon completion of the project. Payments for commercial and government projects are contingent upon the organization and its payment process.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, or credit card payments.

Do I need to be present during an estimate appointment?

No. While most people are present during an appointment, some cannot be there due to schedule conflicts. If you can’t be there for your appointment, it’s no problem at all. With your permission, your estimator can visit your property to examine the work that you would like accomplished and contact you with any questions. Then your quote will be emailed to you, typically within 24 hours after the initial visit.

Do I need to be present during the job?

If you prefer to be there, we welcome you to watch at a safe distance. However, we do not require you to be physically present, since all the details concerning your project will be collected and given to your assigned field crew before they begin the job.

Are you insured and bonded?

Absolutely!

Are you licensed?

Yes! You can verify our California State Contractor’s License here.

Can you give an estimate over the phone or via email if I send pictures?

It sure would make the estimating process much easier if we could simply generate project quotes through a quick phone conversation or email. However, in the vast majority of the cases, it just can’t be done.  This is because in order to provide an accurate quote for a project, an experienced estimator has to physically assess different factors specifically involving the tree, such as its species, height, and girth. Every tree is different. Every property is different. When your estimator visits your property, he also examines the property to look for variables that could affect the ease or difficulty of the job, such as the tree’s proximity to power lines, structures, fencing, and fragile landscaping. Is it located on a slope? How close is it to where our trucks can park?

Occasionally, a simple project can be quoted without an in-person visit, especially if the tree that needs servicing is located along the street. If we can get a clear assessment of the tree and property through a recent picture that is emailed or provided by Google Maps, then we may be able to provide you with a quote. BUT in most cases, examining your property through pictures isn’t enough, and an in-person appointment must be set up.

Do you provide free mulch deliveries?

We no longer provide mulch deliveries. However, if you would like the chippings that were generated from your own trees, then we would be happy to leave them on your property.

If you are interested in having free mulch delivered to your property, we recommend registering with Chip Drop to have a participating local tree service company deliver mulch.

Will you provide us a bid on a prevailing-wage government project?

Absolutely! We assist prime bidders for government projects all throughout the year and would be happy to provide you with a quote. To help with the bidding process, our company is also ELBE and VOSB Certified.
